Kiat got wicked from the get-go, laying down two original pieces co-written by Cherry and him: ”Samurai Waltz” — a number that’s not actually in 3/4, but which dances with grace and poise and Ginzu splices; and “Sphinx’s Prism” — a lounging lion with a human face and a riddle for its heart.
