Karin Geiger’s photography explores transitional spaces. In “Leipzig” (detail shown), zones of liminality intersect: a group of adolescents play in a forest clearing — some in suspended motion, others in active observation — as the nearby foliage casts scattered penumbra over the landscape. The photograph itself sits ambiguously between a staged scene and found situation in a s p a c e that defies easy synthesis.
